easyJet bets on Databricks and Generative AI to be an Innovation Leader in Aviation

easyJet, one of Europe’s largest airlines, needed a better way to modernize data and AI workflows while improving customer experience and enabling non-technical teams to access insights faster. Working with Databricks and its Data Intelligence Platform, easyJet was tackling the complexity of migrating off legacy systems and making generative AI practical within a governed, collaborative environment.

Databricks helped easyJet build a natural-language, voice-enabled analytics app that transcribes questions, converts them to SQL, and returns answers from its data warehouse using open source LLMs and Databricks Model Serving. The result was a working MVP in just a couple of weeks, faster time to market, and easier data access for business users, with the solution later showcased to more than 300 employees and helping secure dedicated budget for further GenAI initiatives.
