Touro College and University System, a New York-based higher education system with more than 18,000 students across 30 campuses in four countries, was struggling to manage reporting across Ellucian Banner, Canvas LMS, Qualtrics, and other systems. After more than two years of difficulty developing reports in IBM Cognos and maintaining over 550 reports, Touro turned to DataBrains for help consolidating reporting and creating a scalable, easy-to-use analytics environment.

DataBrains built a cloud-based data warehouse and reporting environment centered on Tableau Server, reviewed and rationalized the existing Cognos reports, and converted the remaining 350 reports into about 70 Tableau dashboards. The new solution was delivered in under six months and helped Touro save more than $1.5 million on an upcoming Cognos renewal, while improving the speed and accuracy of institutional reporting and KPI dashboards.
