A DataBank IMX Case Study
Carver County, Minnesota’s Community Social Services division was struggling with rapidly rising caseloads, paper-heavy processes, lost documents, and limited visibility into client traffic and case status. To address these challenges, Carver County worked with DataBank IMX and its Compass/OnBase document management and workflow solution to modernize financial assistance operations.
DataBank IMX implemented a paperless, electronic case management system with online forms, scanning, electronic signatures, appointment notifications, and real-time reporting. The results included improved staff efficiency, better workflow and document organization, enhanced agency communications, and increased customer satisfaction; the county also avoided hiring at least three additional FTEs, saving about $195,000 annually in staffing costs, and the project won the county’s inaugural Public Employee Excellence Recognition award for teamwork.
