Talbot County Public Schools (TCPS) in Maryland needed a secure, scalable wireless network to support its one-to-one laptop initiative at Easton High School and help students prepare for state High School Assessments. To meet the needs of students, teachers, staff, and guests, TCPS worked with Data Networks to plan a wireless access control solution that could leverage existing core infrastructure while improving reliability and security.

Data Networks delivered a complete wireless and network upgrade, including an Aruba 6000 series wireless controller, 80 Aruba AP-125 access points, and Juniper EX4200/EX3200 switches with virtual chassis management. The solution provided fast, secure wireless access with centralized control and room to grow, while minimizing impact on TCPS technology staff and supporting up to 512 access points as the network expands.
