St. Mary’s College of Maryland upgrades 20 campus buildings with Data Networks

St. Mary’s College of Maryland was facing challenges with its sporadic wireless network performance due to high user density across its densely populated campus. To address this, the college engaged vendor Data Networks to implement a new state-of-the-art wireless infrastructure using Aruba Networks and Juniper equipment.

Data Networks utilized predictive analysis and onsite evaluation to design and deploy a controller-managed wireless network across 20 buildings and outdoor spaces. The solution involved installing 500 new access points, which dramatically improved performance and provided consolidated monitoring capabilities. The results were immediately positive, with the network successfully handling 500 simultaneous connections in the gymnasium with great performance, leading to high satisfaction from the college's IT leadership.
