Fairfax County Public Schools worked with Data Networks to modernize its aging network so it could better support digital learning, BYOD, and a growing 1:1 Chromebook initiative. The district needed a more scalable, reliable foundation for classrooms, data centers, and online assessments across a large, distributed K-12 environment.

Data Networks delivered a Juniper Networks solution built around EX and QFX Ethernet switches and Junos Space Network Director, giving Fairfax County Public Schools centralized management, easier troubleshooting, and greater network resilience. The upgrade enabled the district to scale to more than 24,000 student mobile devices and support over 42,000 daily cloud users with no noticeable performance impact, while simplifying operations for a small IT team.
