CREATING A NEXT GENERATION NETWORK for Enhanced Learning at Cecil County Public Schools

Cecil County Public Schools partnered with Data Networks to modernize its aging enterprise network across nearly 16,000 students, 30 schools, and the district headquarters. The district needed faster, more reliable LAN and wireless performance to support 21st-century learning and meet statewide curriculum requirements, while staying on a tight budget and implementation schedule.

Data Networks implemented a new Juniper Networks-based wired and wireless infrastructure, including EX4200 Virtual Chassis switches, Gigabit Ethernet user ports, 10GE backbone connections, and upgraded school wireless networks. Using its Staging and Configuration Center and JUNOS Space Virtual Appliance, Data Networks pre-configured and replicated device settings, minimized downtime with careful outage planning, and completed after-hours cabling. The result was a scalable, modern network that improved productivity, reduced disruption, and positioned Cecil County Public Schools for enhanced learning experiences.
