Kingfisher, an international home improvement retailer with 1,302 stores and 79,000 colleagues, faced inconsistent, unstandardized product data across merged platforms (394K product records) and needed to align attributes and map products to internal product codes. To address this, Kingfisher engaged Data Ladder and its ProductMatch™ solution.

Data Ladder’s ProductMatch™ derived a product hierarchy (importing over 60K attribute/category lines), classified and standardized all 394K records, matched duplicates and enriched match groups, and implemented Kingfisher’s internal codes—identifying and correcting thousands of misclassified SAP items. As a result, Kingfisher populated its online store with standardized attributes, delivered more accurate search results, reduced import tariff issues, and saw a dramatic increase in online sales.
