The Buckle, Inc., a leading upscale denim and apparel retailer with over 450 stores, faced a growing problem of duplicate customer records—roughly 10 million entries—captured at the store level and stored in their iSeries DB2 point-of-sale system. To address this data-quality challenge, The Buckle, Inc. turned to Data Ladder and its DataMatch Enterprise™ solution.
Data Ladder implemented DataMatch Enterprise™ to run large-scale deduplication projects using fuzzy logic and synthetic matching, consolidating multiple methods into a single, efficient workflow. The Buckle, Inc. was able to process about 10 million records more efficiently, achieve higher match rates (Data Ladder reports finding roughly 5–12% more matches than IBM and SAS in studies), and streamline customer data for improved personalized marketing and service.
