New Vehicle System (NVS) Project “Transforming the way we do business”

Volkswagen Group UK (VWG UK) needed a step change to compete in the highly competitive UK automotive market. To transform sales and customer service it launched its largest and most complex business change programme — the New Vehicle System (NVS) — which required replacing legacy core processes and systems and creating a single, reliable channel for dealer communications.

VWG UK implemented a Dealer Management System Integration (DMS‑I) built on Data Interchange’s EPIC platform to link internal systems with retailers for daily, automated exchange of stock, pricing, orders, service/parts data and individual vehicle history. The solution replaced inefficient legacy systems, provided a secure communications platform for UK dealers, successfully onboarded over 500 dealers and went live in a single weekend — delivered on time and on budget, with immediate improvements in data accuracy and dealer automation.
