Nemak is a global automotive manufacturer of complex aluminum components with more than 20,000 employees and a history of technological investment. After merging with JL French, the combined company needed to harmonize disparate EDI systems and migrate trading-partner connections while integrating an externally hosted SAP instance in Austria — a challenge that required secure OFTP messaging, Idoc mapping and continuity of EDI flows across different VANs.

Data Interchange delivered an integrated solution using Odex Enterprise and the Dinet Integration Network, developing translation maps and a native tRFC SAP connection to convert EDI documents to Idocs and back. They managed the migration to a single provider without interrupting EDI traffic, delivered the project on time and within budget, enabled full traceability and control, and had Nemak Spain running on the corporate SAP at the start of 2014.
