Mattress Firm Chooses Data Foundry for Data Center Structured Cabling Project

Mattress Firm, the nation’s leading mattress retailer with more than 3,500 stores and $3.5 billion in annual sales, needed a more efficient data center to support rapid order fulfillment and one‑day delivery. Their infrastructure team found copper and fiber cabling to be disorganized—excessive runs, unused and unlabeled lines, limited visibility and higher-than-normal temperatures—making troubleshooting and maintenance difficult.

Mattress Firm selected Data Foundry to redesign and re‑cable the deployment using a customized, best‑practice design. Data Foundry installed new cabinets, ladder racks and fiber troughs, deployed CAT6(A)/7 and OM3/4 backbones that were labeled and tested, and completed the work on time and on budget. The result is a showpiece data center with lower temperatures, faster troubleshooting and simpler future upgrades and expansions.
