Irwell Valley Housing Association (IVHA), a rapidly growing housing provider managing over 7,000 properties across Greater Manchester, needed an OCR scanning solution to support multiple departments. With Data Capture Solutions, the initial priority was to streamline finance operations and handle around 30,000 invoices through the purchase-to-pay process, with plans to extend the same capability to forms, letters, court documents, and other incoming paperwork.

Data Capture Solutions implemented a Kofax-enabled scanning and invoice capture workflow, including an invoice import feature that integrated with IVHA’s eProcurement and P2P system. The result was a major efficiency gain: invoice validation time dropped from 3–4 hours a day to about 1 hour, 30% of invoices were processed straight through without staff validation, and processing errors were significantly reduced.
