FCA Automotive Services, formerly FGA Capital, needed a faster way to handle a steady influx of inbound post, including letters, documents and cheques from vehicle-owning customers across its brands. It turned to Data Capture Solutions (DCS) for an outsourced inbound postroom service to streamline the sorting and digitisation of this mail.

Data Capture Solutions set up dedicated PO boxes, then sorted, opened, classified and scanned documents into PDF batches delivered securely to FCA Automotive Services via FTP in an agreed folder structure. Cheques were processed separately and banked daily by DCS, while hard copies were securely destroyed after 60 days with certification provided; monthly management information gave FCA visibility into the outsourced process and improved speed and efficiency.
