Case Study: Technical University of Melaka Malaysia achieves 90% graduate employment and Formula Varsity EV victory with Dassault Systemes 3DEXPERIENCE

University of Melaka Malaysia - Customer Case Study

University of Melaka Malaysia sought to boost graduating engineering students’ job readiness by giving them hands-on training with industry-standard product development software. To meet this challenge they worked with Dassault Systemes to introduce the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and its design and simulation applications (including CATIA and DELMIA) into coursework and student projects.

Dassault Systemes, with local partner Mawea Industries, implemented the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and trained students to use CATIA for 3D and composites design and DELMIA for virtual manufacturing and simulation; teams used collaborative digital mock-ups to optimize a Formula Varsity electric race car, validate ergonomics and perform first‑time‑right assembly simulations. The project helped UTeM students win first place in the electric vehicle static and dynamic events and contributed to University of Melaka Malaysia’s strong employment outcomes—up to a 90% graduate hire rate within six months.
