A Dassault Systemes Case Study
TRANSpofix, a family-run German manufacturer of flexible transport devices for series production with about 50 employees, serves nearly all European automotive OEMs as well as aerospace and large component suppliers. Their challenge was to maximise transport space and minimise cost without imposing physical stress or safety risks on workers, while ensuring equipment flexibility; this required thorough kinematic simulation and testing before deployment. Dassault Systemes’ CATIA was selected to address these requirements.
Dassault Systemes implemented CATIA’s flexible assembly management, direct kinematic simulation, extensive geometric tools and integrated NC programming to validate mechanisms and workflows. The solution enabled a seamless flow from customer component data upload to variant simulation, NC program creation for sample production and presentation in the customer’s systems, reducing validation risk and streamlining development and delivery of safer, more flexible transport equipment.
