Ten Tech (TEN TECH LLC) was tasked with designing the LinkNYC outdoor communications kiosks to survive extreme urban hazards—vehicle impacts, temperature swings, moisture ingress and internal heat—while meeting city certification requirements. To meet this challenge they turned to Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Platform on the cloud, gaining access to the SIMULIA suite (including Abaqus and CFD) and collaborative tools for simulation-driven design and review.

Using Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE solutions, Ten Tech validated structural anchoring, impact resistance, thermal management and sealing, produced high-quality visualizations for stakeholders, and coordinated changes straight from CAD to manufacture. The result was a robust, production-ready design that reduced prototyping, earned rapid approval and certification from New York authorities, and is now operating on city sidewalks as part of the LinkNYC rollout (over 1,700 kiosks and 5 million users in two years) with no client complaints.
