Sunreef Yachts - Customer Case Study

Sunreef Yachts, a Poland-based leader in custom luxury catamarans, faced rising customer demand for highly customized, seaworthy and energy-efficient vessels and needed to speed up design and production while validating complex hull and system choices. To meet this challenge, Sunreef turned to Dassault Systemes, implementing SOLIDWORKS for collaborative 3D design and SIMULIA XFlow for realistic hydrodynamic and aerodynamic simulation.

Using Dassault Systemes’ SOLIDWORKS and SIMULIA XFlow, Sunreef moved simulation in‑house to run fast, high-frequency CFD and shape-optimization studies that replace costly physical testing and enable rapid iteration. The vendor’s tools let engineers quickly explore countless hull variants, optimize propulsion and fuel efficiency, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams—cutting build times dramatically (a 74‑foot build that once took 6–7 months can now be completed in about 3½ months) while improving performance and responsiveness.
