Students break new ground with ENOVIA V6

Universidad de La Plata sought to ensure its engineering and aeronautics graduates met professional software requirements and could work on real-world projects. To address this, Dassault Systemes supplied a suite of PLM tools — including ENOVIA V6, CATIA, DYMOLA and Abaqus (SIMULIA) — to transform the university’s virtual wing into a fully equipped PLM Center and hands-on laboratory for students.

Dassault Systemes’ solution enabled live collaboration, program management and integrated design/analysis workflows: students used ENOVIA V6 for version control and approvals, CATIA for structural design, and SIMULIA/Abaqus for simulation. The result was successful participation in the SAC‑D/Aquarius satellite projects (designing key instruments), reduced physical prototypes and manufacturing costs, protected intellectual property and standardized processes — all while preparing students for industry.
