Russian toymaker brings new products to market faster with CATIA

Zvezda, a leading Russian toymaker and producer of prefabricated military and historical models, faced the need to modernize its design processes and reduce product development time to maintain its domestic lead and expand internationally. To achieve precise replicas and automate complex surface and tooling design, Zvezda selected Dassault Systemes’ CATIA solution.

By implementing CATIA from Dassault Systemes, Zvezda moved to 3D solid and surface modeling, improved parameterization and data exchange, and now runs six to seven products concurrently during development. The change delivered significant time savings and higher product precision—enabling over 50 new models annually—and strengthened Zvezda’s quality and competitiveness in markets such as Germany, Italy, England and Japan.
