Renault drives the customer experience with Version 6

Renault, facing the challenge of delivering high‑quality, affordable vehicles while standardizing global engineering processes across technocentres (more than 40% of its engineers are outside France), needed an enterprise‑wide PLM that would enable efficient collaboration, data traceability and openness to partners. To meet these goals Renault selected Dassault Systèmes’ Version 6 PLM platform (including CATIA V6 and ENOVIA V6) as the cornerstone of its NewPDM program.

Dassault Systèmes implemented Version 6 with 3DLive collaboration, a single global database, and modules like PDM Test and PDM Calculation; pilots (including an engine project since September 2011) and rollouts have delivered measurable benefits: reduced travel (notable savings in travel time and related costs/emissions), faster remote access with low latency, improved document management and traceability, less rework, and accelerated time‑to‑market through unified digital mock‑ups and end‑to‑end continuity.
