Dunapack, a Hungary-based market leader in paper-based packaging, faced rising competition and needed to upgrade its technology and expand its design department to handle more orders and serve demanding automotive and electronics customers. To meet this challenge, Dunapack implemented Dassault Systemes' CATIA PLM Express.

By using Dassault Systemes' CATIA PLM Express to work from customer 3D models and simulate package folding in a virtual environment, Dunapack eliminated much physical prototyping, designed packages right the first time, and enabled parallel product and package development. The solution cut development time and costs by about 33%, improved design accuracy and customer communication, and scaled Dunapack’s ability to serve automotive clients.
