ASPECT Studios, a landscape architecture and urban design firm, needed to meet rising client demand for real-time interactive 3D environments with features like GIS data import and real-time shadowing. To replace slow, piecemeal VRML workflows and shorten development cycles, ASPECT Studios adopted Dassault Systemes' 3DVIA Virtools.

Dassault Systemes delivered 3DVIA Virtools, enabling the studio to build the ASPECT Studios 3D Viewer with visual scripting, GIS import, measurement tools and real-time shadowing; development time dropped from two days to two hours (a reduction of more than 80%), the team expanded from two to five developers able to produce prototypes, and freed-up time allowed more innovation and a marketable product that strengthened ASPECT Studios’ competitive position.
