Preem AB, Sweden’s largest oil company, needed to replace an obsolete PDM system at its Lysekil refinery to manage voluminous equipment design data and long‑term technical documentation. To ensure long‑term accessibility, traceability and regulatory compliance, Preem AB selected Dassault Systemes’ ENOVIA SmarTeam as the new master library for equipment designs and documents.

Dassault Systemes implemented ENOVIA SmarTeam with sector‑specific customizations (for example, document numbering) and vaulted file control, improving document safety, data quality and accessibility while managing revisions to ensure correct parts are used for repairs. Preem AB reports that ENOVIA SmarTeam has “considerably enhanced the safety and quality” of its data and documents; the company plans to expand workflow automation and consider rolling the solution out to its Gothenburg refinery to share parts, processes and realize economies of scale.
