Case Study: ISPE (Institute for Studies and Power Engineering) achieves 75% faster complex piping installations and error-free document versioning with Dassault Systèmes' ENOVIA SmarTeam Design Express and CATIA PLM Express

ISPE, Romania’s Institute for Studies and Power Engineering, faced fragmented CAD tools, inconsistent document versions and poor interdisciplinary collaboration that made it hard to be sure engineers were working from the latest designs. To address these challenges ISPE implemented Dassault Systemes solutions, using ENOVIA SmarTeam Design Express for collaborative product data management and CATIA PLM Express for 3D mechanical and piping design.

Dassault Systemes helped ISPE centralize product documentation and move to 3D workflows, enabling automatic pipe routing, isometric drawing generation and automated BOM creation; the outcome was error-free versioning, easier access to product data and a 75% reduction in time for complex piping installation projects (from about one month to one week). ISPE also plans to expand ENOVIA for workflow management, web access and customer participation to further cut late-stage changes.
