Optimizing plant design and production with CATIA and DELMIA

ATG Solutions, a German designer and manufacturer of production facilities, needed to streamline information flow between design and production to eliminate interfaces and data conversions that caused project delays and manufacturing errors. To address this, ATG Solutions adopted Dassault Systemes’ PLM solution, using CATIA for virtual product design and DELMIA for virtual production planning.

Dassault Systemes implemented an integrated environment that links native CAD and virtual plant models, enabling concurrent work, virtual commissioning, robot and human-behavior simulation, and offline robot programming. As a result, ATG Solutions shortened lead times, improved production processes and product design, and recorded considerable time and investment savings by validating layouts and programs virtually before physical production.
