A Dassault Systemes Case Study
NXP, a global semiconductor manufacturer, faced an overloaded forecasting process: 20 demand managers had to manage more than 100,000 customer–product forecast combinations, multiple currencies and forecast versions, scattered spreadsheets, and a planning system that was no longer supported and only recalculated impacts once per day. To solve this, NXP turned to Dassault Systemes (Quintiq Demand Planner) for a single, integrated demand-planning platform.
Dassault Systemes configured Quintiq Demand Planner for NXP and rolled it out globally in phased deployments, centralizing data, enabling immediate feedback on forecast changes, and using segmentation to focus effort on the most volatile products. The solution reduced inefficient data gathering, improved integration with other systems, sped decision-making, enabled continuous forecast improvement and lower safety stocks, and delivered higher-quality forecasts and better customer satisfaction.
