Mechanical Design and Analysis Corporation (MDAC), a Tokyo-based consulting firm founded in 1994, needed to use realistic simulation to improve lasting clothing comfort. To meet this challenge MDAC leveraged Dassault Systèmes’ SIMULIA tools—specifically Abaqus/Standard, Abaqus/Explicit and Abaqus/CAE—for nonlinear finite element analysis and material testing.

Using Dassault Systèmes’ Abaqus suite, MDAC analyzed clothing pressure distribution to refine designs, enabling more comfortable garments that support improved motor skills and benefit the nervous and circulatory systems.
