A Dassault Systemes Case Study
NTS, a Japanese publisher best known for its Anatomy Etymology series, wanted to make learning about the human skeletal and muscular systems clearer and more interactive than paper illustrations allow. To achieve this, NTS selected Dassault Systemes and its 3DVIA development tools to create a real-time, interactive 3D application for readers.
Using 3DVIA Virtools from Dassault Systemes, NTS imported year-long anatomy models and configured animations and interactive behaviors in just three months to produce a Windows and Mac application that lets users view models from any angle, click names to highlight parts, and play animated joint and muscle movements. The solution sped development, made anatomy learning more fun and intuitive, and complemented NTS’s bestselling books (more than 400,000 copies sold) with a fast-to-build, cross‑platform 3D experience.
