Case Study: Jet Aviation achieves faster concurrent engineering and major cost savings with Dassault Systèmes (CATIA & ENOVIA SmarTeam)

Making concurrent engineering a reality with DS PLM

Jet Aviation, a global business-aviation completions and service provider, needed a faster, more secure way to process and document client orders and enable concurrent engineering across teams. In 2009 the company turned to Dassault Systemes, adopting CATIA and ENOVIA SmarTeam (deployed via the PLM Express Template) to provide integrated 3D engineering and product data management.

Dassault Systemes implemented preconfigured accelerators that linked CATIA to ENOVIA SmarTeam, enabling roughly 200 engineers to work concurrently with secure data access, project management and simplified approvals. By reusing native 3D data for stress analysis, NC programming, technical documentation and supplier integration, Jet Aviation achieved rapid payback, significant productivity improvements and substantial cost savings.
