Komatsu Forest, a Swedish manufacturer of forestry machinery operating at the Umeå plant, faced inefficient production workflows because assembly workers relied on two-dimensional paper instructions. To boost productivity, ergonomics and environmental performance, Komatsu Forest partnered with Dassault Systèmes and adopted the 3DVIA Composer solution.

Dassault Systèmes implemented interactive 3D documentation using 3DVIA Composer for assembly instructions, equipment maintenance and spare parts documentation. Replacing sketches with moving images made assembly work significantly easier and delivered much better results, simplified prototyping and in-process modifications, and ensured everyone always has access to the latest data.
