Innovation Lab ECCO - Customer Case Study

Innovation Lab ECCO, the research arm of Danish footwear brand ECCO, sought to deliver fully customized shoes and a unique in-store experience by turning biomechanical data into manufacturable designs. To achieve this, the lab enlisted Dassault Systèmes and its cloud-based 3DEXPERIENCE platform with CATIA applications to handle scanning, analysis and design translation for 3D printing.

Dassault Systèmes implemented the 3DEXPERIENCE/CATIA cloud solution to interpret anatomical scans and real-time biomechanical data into printable mid-sole geometries. The result: a fully customized, biomechanically engineered shoe produced in under two hours, enabling rapid in-store personalization and precise orthotic adjustments based on each wearer’s parameters.
