Micronic Laser Systems, a world-leading maker of high-end laser pattern generators for photomasks and microlithography, faced the challenge of managing vast, complex product information across long lifecycles and making it available to employees worldwide. To address this, the company implemented ENOVIA SmarTeam from Dassault Systemes as its PLM/data management solution.

Dassault Systemes’ ENOVIA SmarTeam was used to store master data, manage complete product structures from multiple systems, and provide a single up-to-date product view for engineering, production and purchasing. The system enabled progressive rollout of functions, streamlined end-of-life tracking for electronic components, and improved global maintenance services—allowing Micronic to identify exact configurations, maintenance levels, upgrades and replaced parts for each of its ~140 installed machines (5,000–8,000 components each) and become more customer‑oriented.
