Increasing cost effectiveness and reliability with SolidWorks and DELMIA

Pemamek, a Finland-based specialist in designing and manufacturing welding mechanisms and customized robotic welding stations, needed to optimize its welding solutions and ensure flawless performance before on-site installation. To meet that challenge, Pemamek adopted Dassault Systemes’ SolidWorks for 3D design and DELMIA for robot and production-line simulation to shorten development time and increase solution reliability.

Using Dassault Systemes’ SolidWorks, Pemamek reuses and rapidly modifies 3D designs and integrates supplier geometries to validate assemblies, while DELMIA simulates multiple robots and complete production flows to detect interferences and validate processes before build. The combined solution shortened development cycles and minimized design changes, increased customer confidence and reliability, reduced material waste and energy use, and delivered tangible cost savings when simulations showed unnecessary robot axes could be removed.
