Implementing a comprehensive training program with Version 6

The Technical University of Berlin (TUB), together with Fraunhofer IPK, needed to train engineers in a comprehensive, industry-oriented approach to multidisciplinary, function-driven product development that ties design to production and other business functions. To support this curriculum shift they turned to Dassault Systemes’ Version 6 portfolio as the software foundation for teaching integrated, real‑world engineering practices.

Dassault Systemes implemented Version 6—including CATIA, DELMIA, ENOVIA and 3DLive—across coursework and research, enabling end‑to‑end RFLP (requirements, functional, logical, physical) workflows. The solution improved cross‑discipline collaboration and productivity, delivered measurable time savings and reduced design iterations, and produced tangible outcomes such as a Version 6–developed fuel‑cell car seat for the open 40 Fires project.
