Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute - Customer Case Study

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Ukraine’s largest technical university, needed to ensure its mechanical engineering students had the applied mechanics, materials engineering and industry-standard CAD/CAM/CAE skills required by aerospace employers. To address this gap the school adopted Dassault Systemes solutions, including the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and applications such as CATIA, SIMULIA, DELMIA and ENOVIA, to teach 3D modeling, simulation, digital manufacturing and product lifecycle management.

Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform was integrated into the curriculum (with local implementation support from NPO Solid), providing a centralized, collaborative environment and faculty training for hands-on design, simulation and manufacturing exercises. The result is graduates with practical and theoretical proficiency in 3D design, PLM and manufacturing simulation—capabilities sought by partners like Boeing and Progresstech—making students more employable and better prepared for aerospace industry roles.
