BERU, a world-leading supplier of ignition and diesel cold‑start technology, needed a professional data‑management system to handle growing CATIA design data and coordinate release workflows across its global production sites. After benchmarking PDM options, BERU selected Dassault Systemes’ ENOVIA SmarTeam (working with CATIA) to centralize master files, version control and multi‑CAD collaboration.

Dassault Systemes implemented ENOVIA SmarTeam with its SAP toolkit to automate release processes, coordinate cross‑site data transfers and integrate automatically with BERU’s ERP so master files are created in PDM and pushed to ERP. The solution simplified processes, reduced administrative overhead and duplicated datasets, and eliminated weekly update delays—manufacturing can now access the most recent data online instead of waiting up to a week.
