Eterna, the Swiss mechanical and self‑winding watchmaker in Grenchen, needed a more powerful NC/CAM solution to fully exploit newly acquired 3‑axis CNC milling machines and boost machining accuracy and efficiency. To meet this challenge Eterna selected Dassault Systemes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform, including the DELMIA Machining Pack along with CATIA for 3D design visualization and ENOVIA for tooling management.

Dassault Systemes delivered a solution providing 3D virtual visualization, tool‑path simulation and automatic NC programming, enabling first‑time‑right parts, shorter production cycle times, reduced material waste, and less machine fatigue and tool wear. With CENIT’s fast implementation support Eterna was up and running in just over a week, achieving improved machining accuracy, lower rework and stronger sustainability.
