ENOVIA SmarTeam and the Windows platform a perfect fit for furniture maker

Sauder Woodworking Company, a leading maker of ready‑to‑assemble furniture, was struggling with inefficiency and costly errors caused by multiple spreadsheets and manual data entry as it managed dozens of new products and hundreds of SKUs. To address this, Sauder turned to Dassault Systemes and its ENOVIA SmarTeam solution on the Windows platform to build a single, up‑to‑date digital source of product data.

Dassault Systemes deployed ENOVIA SmarTeam integrated with Sauder’s CAD, ERP and MRP systems (using Microsoft SQL Server), eliminating much manual entry and creating one trusted data source. The change cut design cycles by about 33% (from over 12 weeks to under eight), increased SKUs managed by more than 50% (from ~130 to over 200) with no added staff, and streamlined BOM, purchasing and packing processes.
