A Dassault Systemes Case Study
Dassault Aviation’s Falcon Spares manages a global, heterogeneous inventory of some 80,000 spare parts across 1,950 Falcon jets, 11 regional distribution centers and two main logistics hubs, handling over 200,000 shipments to 75+ countries. Facing fragmented data in multiple legacy systems that made it slow and difficult for non‑technical staff to find parts and meet rising customer expectations, Dassault Aviation turned to Dassault Systemes and its 3DEXPERIENCE platform (including EXALEAD).
Dassault Systemes implemented 3DEXPERIENCE/EXALEAD to index and federate structured and unstructured data across sites, providing a single, intuitive search interface with natural‑language and faceted search and automatic linking of images and documents for each part. The solution sped part lookups, improved response times and customer service, helped shorten aircraft ground time, and supports Dassault Aviation’s strong operational performance (on‑time parts delivery around 98%), while enabling richer analytics and expanded use across military and sustainability workflows.
