Danish box maker packs a punch with CATIA PLM Express

Clip-Lok SimPak, the custom flat-packable box business from Clip-Lok International, needed to design reusable, cost-effective packaging that precisely fits varied customer products, minimizes return-shipment volume, and shortens long prototype and order-to-production cycles. To meet these challenges it turned to Dassault Systemes, deploying CATIA PLM Express to handle complex, knowledge-based design requirements and to accept customers’ digital CAD files.

Dassault Systemes implemented CATIA PLM Express for virtual 3D design, automated drawing generation, interference checking and parameter-driven hinge placement, enabling faster RFP responses and clearer customer communication. As a result, Clip-Lok SimPak cut lead time from three weeks to less than one week, increased design throughput and project capacity, and improved customer engagement — with plans to extend Dassault Systemes’ PLM footprint via ENOVIA SmarTeam and ERP integration.
