Case Study: TH-Tools cuts production costs and improves design precision with Dassault Systèmes' CATIA

A Dassault Systemes Case Study

Preview of the TH-Tools Case Study

Competing with low-cost competitors with CATIA

TH-Tools, a Finland-based maker of high-precision tooling and production machinery, faced mounting pressure from lower-cost global competitors and needed to keep production costs down without sacrificing quality. To meet this challenge, TH-Tools adopted CATIA from Dassault Systemes (including CATIA V5 and CATIA PLM Express) for design, manufacturing and PLM to support its focus on precision, long-lived machines and timely delivery.

Dassault Systemes’ CATIA solution let TH-Tools design in context of full digital mock-ups, run early virtual interference checks, and use multi-axis surface machining workflows (with tailored post-processing), which increased design precision and avoided time-consuming late redesigns. As a result, TH-Tools achieved higher component quality, fewer downstream assembly problems that can delay deliveries, lower production costs and improved data management and part sharing across its sites through CATIA PLM Express.
