China Railway Design Corporation - Customer Case Study

China Railway Design Corporation (CRDC), one of China’s leading railway design firms, needed to improve its win rate on large-scale domestic and international projects by raising design efficiency and quality. To modernize from fragmented 2D workflows, CRDC adopted Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform—using CATIA, ENOVIA, DELMIA and SIMULIA—to enable unified 3D/BIM-based design and real-time multidisciplinary collaboration.

Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE industry solution (implemented with partner Dastech) centralized project data, provided parametric modeling and engineering templates, and embedded company and national BIM standards. The result was faster, more consistent designs, reduced design effort (for example in preliminary sizing of complex bridge piers), and measurable construction savings—such as drastically reduced earthwork and lower costs on the Jakarta–Bandung high‑speed railway—leading to fewer errors, better communication and stronger competitiveness for CRDC.
