CERN - Customer Case Study

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, needed to maintain a coherent configuration of its vast and complex equipment — including the 27-kilometer Large Hadron Collider (LHC). To address configuration, integration of new equipment and ongoing maintenance across its infrastructure, CERN worked with Dassault Systemes using CATIA and ENOVIA SmarTeam.

Dassault Systemes provided CATIA digital mock-ups managed with ENOVIA SmarTeam, allowing engineers to visualize, integrate and maintain equipment more efficiently. The solution helped CERN cut time and costs associated with refurbishing existing machines and integrating equipment into new projects such as LINAC-4, improving overall configuration control across the organization.
