Case Study: National Atomic Energy Commission achieves faster CAREM 25 design and centralized project management with Dassault Systèmes PLM

A Dassault Systemes Case Study

Preview of the National Atomic Energy Commission Case Study

Building nuclear facilities of the future with Dassault Systèmes PLM

The National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) needed to accelerate design and development of its CAREM 25 nuclear plant — a 25 MW reactor that will supply power to about 100,000 people — while meeting strict safety and regulatory requirements and simulating responses to natural hazards. To address these challenges CNEA partnered with Dassault Systemes to deploy a PLM platform built on ENOVIA, CATIA, SIMULIA (Abaqus), DELMIA, 3DVIA and DraftSight.

Dassault Systemes implemented a unified PLM solution that centralizes data, enables real-time collaboration, and supports 3D modeling and dynamic simulation (including seismic and flood scenarios) as well as robotics-assisted maintenance. The DS platform streamlined design and licensing workflows, improved regulatory communication, and reduced downtime and radiation exposure during maintenance through DELMIA Robotics — accelerating the CAREM 25 design and implementation and helping ensure a safer, more efficiently managed plant.
