A Dassault Systemes Case Study
Airbus needed to guarantee quality and consistency across a global network of internal teams and suppliers to meet aggressive production ramp-up targets for its new A350 XWB. To address this, Airbus deployed Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform and its applications (CATIA, ENOVIA, SIMULIA, DELMIA, 3DVIA) to create a single-source digital environment for design, simulation and manufacturing.
Dassault Systemes implemented a unified digital mockup (DMU) and real-time collaboration across the value chain, enabling end-to-end digital continuity from engineering to customer services. The result was fewer engineering changes and clear measurable gains: engineers cut installation-plan update time by 50%, reduced design change requests from manual 2D drawings by 25%, shortened the cabin assembly process by 30%, and achieved exceptional first-flight maturity while reducing rework demands on manufacturing.
