A Dassault Systemes Case Study
Agilent Technologies needed to quickly determine the environmental regulatory compliance of its products, track rapidly evolving global rules like the EU RoHS directive, and reengineer designs (for example removing lead solder) without disrupting markets — a challenge that put more than $1 billion of annual revenue at risk. To tackle this, Agilent turned to Dassault Systemes and its 3DEXPERIENCE Platform with the ENOVIA application to centralize materials data and supplier collaboration.
Dassault Systemes implemented a collaborative 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA solution that gives engineers instant visibility into component chemistry, a supplier portal for over 7,000 vendors, and design‑for‑compliance tools to create “green” BOMs. The deployment cut compliance response times from weeks to hours, automated reporting and data collection, protected more than $1 billion in annual EU revenue, streamlined supplier interactions, and improved time‑to‑market and IP sharing.
