AGCO Sows Seeds for Greater Visibility, Control and Efficiency with Apriso

AGCO Corporation, the world’s largest tractor manufacturer, faced the challenge of launching two state‑of‑the‑art factories to produce 20,000 tractors a year while achieving Lean, visible and controllable operations. To meet that goal AGCO relied on Apriso — part of Dassault Systemes’ DELMIA portfolio — integrated with SAP ERP to provide the operations management and real‑time visibility needed for modern, flexible production.

Dassault Systemes implemented Apriso across AGCO’s new plants to capture real‑time production data, synchronize material flows, manage machine/process alarms, and feed continuous KPIs and dashboards into SAP. The solution doubled assembly capacity to 16 units per line without efficiency loss, enabled one new‑product pilot per month, reduced takt‑time to under 10 minutes, improved OEE by 22% in year one, and is projected to raise assembly productivity 8% in year one and 25–30% over three years — delivering higher throughput, lower costs and better capital utilization.
