Accelerating Design Collaboration and Innovation with 3DS Solutions and ENOVIA

Bell Helicopter, a long‑standing leader in vertical‑lift aircraft, launched a Business Systems Modernization (BSM) program to replace decades‑old legacy systems and establish a single, enterprise‑wide source of product information shared with suppliers and regulators. To meet this challenge Bell partnered with Dassault Systemes, deploying V6 technology—including ENOVIA (ENOVIA V6R2013x), CATIA V6, DELMIA and 3DVIA—to manage everything from requirements and contracts through delivered bills of material.

Dassault Systemes implemented ENOVIA V6R2013x and integrated it with SAP, CAMS and Primavera, migrating more than 14 terabytes of legacy data and orchestrating a complex migration path so over 6,500 global users could access one “single source of truth.” The solution improved ENOVIA–CATIA interoperability and stability for large assemblies, enabled bidirectional BOM synchronization and interactive work instructions, and produced measurable gains in productivity and quality with fewer errors in the handoff from engineering to the shop floor.
