AB Sciex, a global manufacturer of scientific instrumentation, faced mounting environmental regulations (RoHS, REACH and related rules) and needed a way to ensure product compliance, track changing laws across its supply chain, and respond quickly to customer and regulator inquiries. To meet this challenge the company chose Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, using ENOVIA and its Materials Compliance Central (MCC) to integrate compliance into its product lifecycle.

Dassault Systemes implemented 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA MCC, including automated XML/BOM uploads, BOMcheck integration and services/training from the 3DS team, and loaded some 8,000–10,000 material components. The solution cut regulatory response times from months to minutes (a ten‑minute example), improved supplier collaboration and product design, and delivered a 10–20% cost advantage from design cleanups—providing faster compliance reporting, greater supply‑chain visibility and senior‑management confidence.
